- Isak Hansen-Aaroen is highly rated and had trials at Liverpool and Everton
- Manchester United sent staff to Norway to hold further talks over signing him
- Aaroen is also understood to be represented by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s agent
Manchester United have revived talks over talented Norwegian prospect Isak Hansen-Aaroen.
The Old Trafford club sent scouts to watch the 14-year-old from Tromso in October ahead of interest from Liverpool and Everton where he has had trials.
They then staff to Norway to hold further talks over signing the teenager.
They have maintained contact and their position has been strengthened by the fact national hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing so well as manager and Hansen-Aaroen is a United fan.
Aaroen is also understood to be represented by Solskjaer’s agent Jim Solbakken.
Fresh discussions have taken place this week over a prospective pre-contract arrangement with United unable to sign him to a contract until he turns 16.
Hansen-Aaroen is a central midfielder with good technique and an excellent passer of the ball.
Solskjaer’s influence at the club has been profound since he took charge on an interim basis following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
He has led the club to six successive wins and ignited their chase for a spot in the top four.
