#1 Missing the sunlight early in the morning:
Everything in nature is due to some reason, and the same is with the timing of sunrise and sunset. If you are not getting out in sunlight early in the morning, you are missing a lot of benefits of the sun. According to the studies, people who are exposed to sunlight immediately after waking up, they have lower BMI in comparison to those who live in darkness for long.
#2 Skipping breakfast:
If you are one of those people who think that skipping meals is helpful to weight loss, you are on the wrong note. Missing meals, especially the breakfast can cause a rapid increase in weight due to improper and untimely metabolism process in your body.
Skipping breakfast can become a gateway to unhealthy eating during the rest of the day. Studies suggest that a balanced breakfast helps with proper hunger concentration and better eating habits. A breakfast containing protein and fiber will keep you going for the whole day. So, never skip your breakfast.
#3 Not making the bed properly:
Yes! This bad habit is also associated with increasing weight. It is a very little thing but can play a critical role in your sleeping habits. If you are not making your bed before sleeping, there are high chances that you won’t get proper rest during the sleep. Proper sleep of 6 to 8 hours is directly related to healthy BMI. So, why would not you want to adopt this good and “extremely easy to adapt” habit?
#4 Not drinking water:
If you do not drink water for a few hours especially in the starting hours of the day, you can have increased weight. Your body kick starts the process of metabolism in the early hours of the morning, and it requires plenty of water. Your body also requires water to provide some fuel to your brain. Besides, drinking water in empty stomach helps your body to flush out the toxins and other waste products in a proper way. So, start drinking a couple of glasses of water right after brushing your teeth.
#5 Too much coffee:
Taking too much coffee in the morning especially without eating anything also stimulates the weight gain. Taking coffee in the morning is not a bad thing as it rejuvenates your energy with its caffeine content. But taking too much coffee and that too without balancing with water can affect your health seriously.
Are you hitting the snooze button constantly in the morning? Beware! Sleeping too much is also associated with improper diet and unhealthy weight gain.
Oversleeping has the same effect in your body as the lack of sleep. Both are bad habits, and both can affect your concentration levels. You will end up eating a lot of junk food throughout the day, and your body won’t be able to sync properly with overeating and lack/excess of sleeping.
Improper sleeping pattern is not only responsible for unhealthy weight gain, but it can also cause fluctuations in blood sugar levels in your body. So, go to the popular phrase “early to bed early to rise” again and keep it following every day.
These are some bad habits responsible for abnormal weight gain and can cause numerous health problems we have already discussed above. If you have even one of these bad habits, it’s the right time to change it with a good one. Having good health habits are as important as a balanced diet or proper physical workout.
