Most common cause behind dark and rough elbows is poor or improper hygiene. Elbows and knees in our body demands special care and moisturizer as they do not have oil glands as other body parts.
Sometimes uneven distribution of melanin also contributes here. But no need to worry you can treat them naturally in a very fast way by following remedies listed below.
First you have to remove dead layer from elbows only then some other treatments will work. Fr this yu can use lemon sugar scrub. Sprinkle some sugar on half cut lemon and rub this lemon on your elbow in circular motion. Sugar will remove dead layer from your elbow and lemon will bleach your elbow.
If your skin is not sensitive, you can also use lemon juice with baking soda for exfoliation. Mix a ¼ cup of baking soda and lemon juice to make a paste with medium consistency. Rub the mixture over your elbows and massage gently in circular motions. Do this for at least 15 minutes. Baking soda serves to exfoliate the skin while lemons bleaches.

As I told you earlier elbows and knee do not have natural oil glands, so apply moisturizer on this area daily after bath.
#3. Vitamin E very effective to remove darkness
Vitamin E oil is used to remove dark spots from your skin and you can use it here also.
Add a tablespoon each of vitamin E oil, lemon juice and glycerin. Add in 10 tablespoons of milk. Apply this to your elbows and let it sit for 20 minutes. You can also choose to take vitamin E capsules orally or prick on capsule with a pin and apply the oil to the elbows.
#4. Yogurt and vinegar to whiten elbows
Combine a teaspoon of yogurt and white vinegar to get a smooth paste. Apply the paste on the elbows and allow it to dry. Rinse off with warm water, pat dry and moisturize.
